Tuberculosis (TB) and HIV/AIDS

Tuberculosis (TB) and HIV/AIDS department at our hospital is funded by Arkangelo Ali Association and the national Ministry of Health.

We have over 900 HIV patients who regularly come to the hospital for counselling and to refill their medication. WFP recently launched Emmanuel Group Association at our hospital.

This group comprises of 84 HIV patients who voluntarily agreed to form a group that will work on creating awareness in the community to rescue stigma and also strengthen adherence to ART drugs.

They emphasize that as long as one focuses on proper feeding and taking their drugs as prescribed one can lead a normal life.

Our TB department is run in collaboration with Don Bosco Hospital which is within Tonj Town.

Due to lack of proper infrastructure, Don Bosco Hospital is the main place where patients collect medication for TB. At TCH, we carry out tests. We have GeneXpert tests and TB lam.
